Sajid, Salman heroics has Pakistan sniffing victory over England: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Multan)

Sajid Khan’s brilliance with bat and ball against England in the second test has Pakistan on the brink of a rare win.

Sajid Khan finished with 7-111 and then shared a crucial 65-run ninth-wicket stand with Salman Ali Agha (63 off 89 balls) that extended Pakistan's lead.

Set a record-breaking 297 to win, England lost openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley to end on 36-2, leaving Pakistan on course to level the series 1-1. Pakistan hasn’t won its last 11 tests at home since March 2021.

England 291 (Duckett 114, Sajid 7-111) and 36 for 2 need a further 261 to beat Pakistan 366 and 221 (Salman 63, Bashir 4-66).
