Patrick Cummins: Teenage pace star to captaincy
Pat Cummins was born on 8 May 1993 at Westmead in Sydney. He is a right arm fast bowler who made his first class debut for NSW in 2011 at the age of 17.
He made his T20 debut for Australia against South Africa in Cape Town in 2011 taking 3 wickets
At 18, Cummins made his Test debut against South Africa at the Wanderers in 2011. He took seven wickets and hit the winning runs. Cummins then suffered a serious back injury which sidelined him for several years.
He made a premature return to the Australia ODI team briefly in 2015 but was struck again by injury.
