Mitchell McClenaghan was born on 11 June 1986 . He is a left arm paceman who made his first class debut for Central Districts vs Otago in 2007.
He was selected on the South African tour in 2012/13 and made his debut in the 1st T20 in Durban. He made his ODI debut against South Africa in Paarl in 2013.
In Jan 2016, McClenaghan was struck a sickening blow in the face while batting against Anwar Ali of Pakistan in the ODI match in Wellington. He ended with a fractured eye socket which sidelined him from the game for a while.
McClenaghan established himself as a one day format specialist and was the fastest Kiwi to 50 ODI wickets.
