Richard Anthony Hutton (born 1942) played five Tests and two One-Day Internationals for England in the early 1970s.
The son of legendary England captainĀ Sir Len Hutton, he was a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler who combined studies at Cambridge University with a career at Yorkshire, where he played from 1962 to 1974.
In first-class cricket he scored more than 7,500 runs and took over 600 wickets, earning a reputation as a reliable and versatile cricketer.
After retiring, he stayed connected to the game as a writer, editor of The Cricketer magazine, and administrator, while also pursuing a career in business.
