Green, Owen star in crushing win after Windies collapse: 1st T20 (Jamaica)

Debutant Mitch Owen smashed a 26-ball half-century to lead Australia to a series-opening T20 win against the West Indies at Sabina Park.

Roston Chase and Shai Hope hit fifties as the Windies were on track for a massive score at 159-2. They then had a familiar collapse losing 4-2 in the final 10 balls. Dwarshius (4-36) took three wickets in four balls in the 19th over to keep the target achievable.

In reply, Cameron Green (51) and Owen (50) rebuilt the innings, hitting 80 runs in 40 balls together in the middle. They took Australia from 4-78 to 5-158.

Australia 190 for 7 (Green 51, Owen 50, Motie 2-29, Holder 2-32, A Joseph 2-39) beat West Indies (Chase 60, Hope 55, Dwarshuis 4-36) by three wickets.
