West Indies batsmen piled on a mammoth 205 for 4 and then they wrecked Australia’s much-vaunted top order to bowl them out for 131 runs.

Chris Gayle carried his bat with a magnificent 75 off 41 balls.

Gayle was involved in three partnerships of 41 runs in 4.3 overs with Marlon Samuels, 26 (20b, 2x4, 2x6); 83 runs in 8.3 overs with Dwayne Bravo, 37 (31b, 1x4, 3x6); and 65 runs in 4.1 overs with Kevin Pollard, 38 (15b, 3x4, 3x6).
