Curran century inspires narrow Zimbabwe win over Bangladesh: 2nd ODI (Harare)

Opener Ben Curran was the difference as Zimbabwe clinched the three-match ODI series with a hard-fought 13-run victory over Bangladesh in the second ODI at Harare.

Curran posted a magnificent maiden ODI century, scoring 111 from 135 balls, while Brad Evans provided a late flourish with a rapid 58 off 38 deliveries to propel the hosts to 247 for 6 from their 50 overs.

Bangladesh mounted a determined chase through half-centuries from Tanzid Hasan and Towhid Hridoy but were eventually bowled out for 234 in 48.1 overs.

Richard Ngarava led Zimbabwe’s attack with three wickets, while Blessing Muzarabani and Brad Evans claimed key breakthroughs as the hosts secured an unassailable 2-0 lead and celebrated a memorable ODI series triumph.

Zimbabwe 247 for 6 (Curran 111*, Evans 58*, Mehidy 2-32) beat Bangladesh 234 (Hridoy 60, Tanzid 57, Ngarava 3-55) by 13 runs.
