A walk down memory lane to the source of cricket commentaries as they were conducted at the very beginning of radio broadcasts in the early 1930's with simulated sounds and intermittent score updates cleverly filled out to produce a continuous visual image of the play taking place.

Commentaries and TV coverage have come a long way since those early days.
