Lewis blitz powers Windies win over SL : 3rd ODI (Pallekele)

Veteran Evin Lewis spanked a century as West Indies beat Sri Lanka to secure a consolation win in the rain affected 3rd ODI at Pallekele.

Returning to the team after 3 years, Lewis smashed 102 not out in 61 balls. This was his fifth ODI century. He powered the West Indies to their DLS target of 195 for the loss of 2 wickets.

Earlier, Sri Lanka scored 156-3 as Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis struck a fifty each.

Sri Lanka won the series 2-1.

West Indies 196 for 2 (Lewis 102*, Rutherford 50*, Asitha 1-39) beat Sri Lanka 156 for 3 (Kusal 56, Nissanka 56, Chase 1-20) by eight wickets (DLS method).
