Isuru Udana was born on 17 February 17, 1988 in Balangoda, on the South Coast of Sri Lanka. After playing for Sri Lanka Under-19s and representing the NCC and Tamil Union Cricket and Athletic Club, Udana made his first class debut for Wayamba Province.
Udana made his international debut against Australia in the ICC T20 World Cup at Nottingham in June 2009 taking 2-47.
Udana is a left-arm medium-fast who has a well concealed slower ball, with several variations of pace that make him an ideal T20 bowler.
