1986: Chetan Sharma rescues India in win over NZ (Launceston)

India were struggling at 127-7 when pace bowler Chetan Sharma struck a blistering 38 off 37 balls to guide India to a winning score in their match against NZ.

Earlier, Ashok Malhotra stroked 39 as India posted 202 in 48 overs   Stuart Gillespie took 3-54.

In reply, skipper Jeremy Coney hit 37 but NZ staggered to 162-9. Kapil Dev and Roger Binny took 3 wickets each  

India won by 22 runs under D/L method.
