Taijul trigger’s Zimbabwe collapse: 2nd Test, Day 1 (Chattogram)

Spinner Taijul Islam cut through the Zimbabwe middle order late in the day to enable Bangladesh to edge ahead on Day 1 in the 2nd Test at Chattogram.

Zimbabwe ended at 227/9 after winning the toss and opting to bat first.Taijul shone with his 16th five-wicket haul when he finished with 5-60.

Earlier, fifties from Nick Welch and Sean Williams took Zimbabwe to a dominant 177/2. But the visitors lost seven wickets in the final session to surrender the advantage.
