Pant, Rahul centuries edge India ahead before collapse: 1st Test, Day 5 (Leeds)

Rishabh Pant became the first Indian batsman to score hundreds in both innings of a Test against England before a spectacular collapse on the fourth day at Headingley.

Josh Tongue's burst of 3 wickets in an over kept England in the first Test as India lost 6 wickets for 31. Earlier, opener Rahul stroked a defiant 137 and Pant smashed 118 as the pair added 195 for the 4th wicket.

Chasing a target of 371, Duckett and Crawley survived six overs as England got to stumps unscathed at 21-0.

England 465 and 21 for 0 (Crawley 12*, Duckett 9*) need another 350 runs to beat India 471 and 364 (Rahul 137, Pant 118, Tongue 3-72, Carse 3-80).
