Pakistan setup blockbuster final with India after win over Bangladesh: 2025 Asia Cup Super ...

Pakistan booked their place in the 2025 Asia Cup final with  India after a tense 11-run victory over Bangladesh in their Super Four clash in Dubai.

Sent in to bat, Pakistan struggled early but recovered to post 135 for 8 thanks to lower-order contributions from Mohammad Haris (31), Mohammad Nawaz (25) and Shaheen Afridi (19).

Bangladesh’s bowlers, led by Taskin Ahmed (3/28) and Rishad Hossain (2/18), kept the target within reach.

In reply, Bangladesh faltered against disciplined bowling and were restricted to 124 for 9 despite a late 23-run last-wicket stand. Shaheen Afridi’s all-round display earned him Player of the Match honours and set up a blockbuster final against India.

Pakistan 135 for 8 (Haris 31, Nawaz 25, Taskin 3-28, Rishad 2-18) beat Bangladesh 124 for 9 (Shamim 30, Afridi 3-17, Rauf 3-33, Ayub 2-16) by 11 runs.
