Sami’s 5-33 skittle’s Bangladesh in crushing win: 2025 3rd ODI (Abu Dhabi)

Bilal Sami took his maiden five wicket haul as Afghanistan completed a dominant 3–0 sweep over Bangladesh with a crushing 200-run victory in the third ODI at Abu Dhabi.

Batting first, Afghanistan posted a strong 293 for 9, led by Ibrahim Zadran’s composed 95 and a late onslaught from Mohammad Nabi, who blasted an unbeaten 62 from just 37 balls.

Despite some loose bowling that gifted 23 extras, Afghanistan’s total proved far beyond Bangladesh’s reach. Bangladesh collapsed to 93 all out in just 27.1 overs, undone by the spin of Rashid Khan and the pace of Bilal Sami, who shared the spoils in a relentless attack.

With the win, Afghanistan sealed a clean sweep of the series, Ibrahim Zadran earning Player of the Series honours for his consistent run-scoring.

Afghanistan 293 for 9 (Zadran 95, Nabi 62*, Saif 3-6) beat Bangladesh 93 (Saif 43, Sami 5-33, Rashid 3-12) by 200 runs.
