Arshdeep inspires win, as India bowl out Proteas for 117: 3rd T20 (Daramsala)

India produced a disciplined all-round display in the 3rd T20I to take a 2–1 lead in the five-match series against South Africa.

After choosing to bowl first, the Indian seamers made early inroads and never allowed the visitors to settle, restricting them to 117. Arshdeep Singh was outstanding with the ball, while Aiden Markram’s fighting half-century was the only notable contribution in an otherwise faltering South African batting effort.

Chasing a modest target, India batted with composure and control to reach 120/3 in 15.5 overs. The top order provided a solid platform, ensuring there was no pressure in the chase, and the innings was calmly guided to the finish without drama.

The comfortable seven-wicket victory underlined India’s dominance on the night and gave them the momentum heading into the remainder of the series.

India 120 for 3 (Abhishek 35, Gill 28, Bosch 1-18) beat South Africa 117 (Markram 61, Varun 2-11, Kuldeep 2-12, Arshdeep 2-13) by seven wickets.
