Smith century provides a sniff: 1st Test, Day 4 (Perth)

Captain Graeme Smith 108 made his 18th Test hundred to give his side an outside chance of victory against Australia as his team made a spirited 227-3. Jacques Kallis and AB de Villiers added a quickfire 48 in 11 overs before the close to restore the balance after Amla and Smith were dismissed after tea. Earlier Australia were all out for 319 earlier in the day with Brad Haddin stumped in the quest for quick runs for 94.
