Adam Gilchrist rescues Australia with 162 (2005)

Arriving to the crease with his team in a spot of bother at 247-5, Adam Gilchrist along with Damien Martyn set about to construct a healthy first innings total.

In typical Gilchrist fashion he bludgeons the NZ attack with 22 fours and 5 sixes and leaves the ground with 162 and his team in firm control of the match at 557-7.

The match was drawn after Australia made 570-8 declared and New Zealand made 244 and 483.
