India in clinical win after superb Dhawan century: 2013 CT #1 IND v RSA (Cardiff)

India put aside the IPL spot fixing saga behind them temporarily to beat South Africa by 26 runs in the opening match after a superb maiden century (114) from Shikhar Dhawan.

Openers Darwan and Rohit Sharma (65) shared an opening stand of 127 in 21.2 overs as they flayed the Proteas attack. In reply, Robin Peterson (68) and AB de Villiers (70) added 124 and Ryan McLaren hit 71 not out but South Africa were 305 all out.

India 331 for 7 (Dhawan 114, Rohit 65) beat South Africa 305 (McLaren 71*, de Villiers 70, Petersen 68) by 26 runs.
