Aussies crumble after Tamim, Shakib fight back: 1st Test, Day 1 (Mirpur)

Bangladesh took a tight grip after Australia lost 3 wickets for 18 runs in 8 available overs.

David Warner (eight), Usman Khawaja (one) and nightwatchman Nathan Lyon (0) all departed before stumps.

Earlier, all rounder Shakib Al Hasan added 155 runs with Tamim Iqbal (71) for the fourth wicket to steady the innings after Pat Cummins rocked the side with a three-wicket burst to leave them at 10-3. Australia's spin duo of Lyon (3-79) and Ashton Agar (3-46) shared six wickets as Bangladesh posted 260 on a difficult spinning pitch.

Australia 18 for 3 (Renshaw 6*, Smith 3*) trail Bangladesh 260 (Shakib 84, Tamim 71, Agar 3-46, Cummins 3-63, Lyon 3-79) by 242 runs.
