Vince, Stoneman edge England ahead: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Christchurch)

James Vince and Mark Stoneman's 123-run partnership helped England take control of the second Test against New Zealand.

Alistair Cook went early for 14 but Vince made 76 and Stoneman hit a career best 60 to steady England. Joe Root (30 not out) and Dawid Malan (19 not out) took England to stumps at 202-3.

Earlier, New Zealand, who started the day at 192 for six, were all out for 278 thanks to Tim Southee's hard hitting fifty.

England 307 (Bairstow 101, Wood 52, Southee 6-62, Boult 4-87) and 202 for 3 (Vince 76, Stoneman 60) lead New Zealand 278 (Watling 85, Southee 50, Broad 6-54) by 231 runs.
