Chase rescues Windies after Kuldeep strikes: 2nd Test, Day 1 (Hyderabad)

Allrounder Roston Chase closed in on his fourth Test hundred as he shared a century partnership with skipper Jason Holder to help West Indies recover from 113-5 to 295 for seven.

Chase batted brilliantly to be 98 not out at stumps.

Chase added 69 runs with Shane Dowrich (30) before his 104 run stand with Holder completed the fightback. Holder scored 52 off 92 balls before being dismissed just before stumps as the Windies fought back after spinner Kuldeep Yadav (3-74) triggered a top order collapse.

West Indies 295 for 7 (Chase 98*, Holder 52, Kuldeep 3-74) v India.
