The Dr. DY Patil Sports Stadium is one of India’s premier multi-purpose sporting venues and is located in Nerul, Navi Mumbai.
Opened in 2008, the stadium was developed by the D.Y. Patil Group and has a seating capacity of around 55,000 spectators. Its distinctive cantilever roof design ensures that every seat is covered, making it one of the most architecturally impressive cricket grounds in the country.
The stadium quickly became a familiar venue on the Indian cricket calendar. It hosted the 2008 Indian Premier League final, where the Rajasthan Royals defeated the Chennai Super Kings to claim the inaugural IPL title. It has also staged IPL league matches, international fixtures, the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup, and numerous domestic tournaments, reflecting its versatility as a world-class sports venue.
