Sri Lanka collapse, Nayeem takes five: 1st Test, Day 4 (Galle)

Off spinner Nayeem Hasan took five wickets as Sri Lanka self destructed in their first-innings on the fourth day of the first Test in Galle.

Sri Lanka lost momentum after lunch. The hosts looked set for a sizeable lead at 465-6 with Kamindu Mendis and Milan Rathnayake putting on a 84-run stand for the seventh wicket. They collapsed to 485 all out.

The Bangladesh openers got off to a watchful start in their second innings With Shanto striking 56. The visitors ended at 177-3, a lead of 187.

Bangladesh 495 and 177 for 3 (Shanto 56, Mushfiqur 22*, Shadman 76, Jayasuriya 1-48) lead Sri Lanka 485 (Nissanka 187, Kamindu 87, Nayeem 5-121, Mahmud 3-74) by 187 runs.
