Mathews on Asia Cup win: broke the finals barrier (Mirpur)

Angelo Matthews' side beat Pakistan by five wickets at to win the tournament for a fifth time following their successes in 1986, 1997, 2004 and 2008.

"We wanted to break the barrier between us and finals," said Mathews.

Sri Lanka don't have a good record when it comes to finals as they were beaten at the last hurdle in the 2007 and 2011 50-over World Cups and also lost the Twenty20 finals in 2009 and 2012.
