Chris Gayle hits fastest World Cup T20 century (Mumbai)

Chris Gayle hit the fastest century in World Twenty20 history as West Indies crushed England by six wickets.

Gayle smashed 100 not out off just 47 balls with five fours and 11 sixes to beat his own record of a 50-ball hundred in the first tournament in South Africa in 2007.

Ian Chappell, Sanjay Manjrekar and other experts discuss Gayle's record breaking knock. Gayle now holds the record for most sixes in a World T20 innings (11, joining his 50-over World Cup record of 16) and the most sixes in international Twenty20 cricket (98, beating Brendon McCullum’s 91).
