Kusal blitz downs India in opener: 2018 Nidahas Trophy No 1 (RPS)

Kusal Perera blasted the second fastest fifty (22 balls) by a Sri Lankan player in T20s as home team beat India by five wickets in the opening game of the Nidahas Trophy tri-nations series.

Chasing 175, Perera's 66 runs from 37 balls provided the impetus that they needed at the top. Thisara Perera provided a rapid-fire finish with 22 runs from 10 balls to seal the win.

Earlier, Shikhar Dhawan’s brilliant 90 off 49 balls powered India to 174/5.

Sri Lanka 175 for 5 (Kusal Perera 66, Sundar 2-28) beat India 174 for 5 (Dhawan 90, Chameera 2-32) by five wickets.
