Rizwan guides Pakistan victory over Canada: 2022 T20 World Cup (New York)

Mohammad Rizwan struck an unbeaten half-century as Pakistan kept their slim hopes of qualifying for the Super 8s alive with a seven-wicket win over Canada.

Aaron Johnson (52) waged a lone battle against Pakistan's pace attack as Mohammad Amir (2-13) and Haris Rauf (2-26) turned the screws.

Openers Rizwan (53 not out) and Babar Azam (33) laid the platform for Pakistan’s reply with a stand of 63 for the second wicket before the latter was caught behind for 33 off Dilon Heyliger (2-18).

Pakistan 107 for 3 (Rizwan 53*, Babar 33, Heyliger 2-18) beat Canada 106 for 7 (Johnson 52, Amir 2-13, Rauf 2-26) by seven wickets.
