Jadeja, Sundar defy England as India escape with a draw: 4th Test, Day 5 (Manchester)

Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar put on a double century stand for the 5th wicket as India defied England, to earn a fighting draw in the fourth Test at Old Trafford and keep the series alive.

In the morning session, England removed KL Rahul for 90 and Shubman Gill for 103. Gill scored his fourth century of the series—joining cricketing elite like Bradman and Gavaskar as a captain with four hundreds in a single series.

Jadeja (107*) and Sundar (101*) then combined in an unbroken 203 run stand, defying England’s attack and steering India to 425/4 in the second innings, sealing the draw

Stokes was named Player of the Match for his phenomenal all‑round display, though his fitness remains a concern ahead of the final Test.
